As boring as this is- the majority of the thousand dollars would go straight onto our home loan! Oh, and maybe a trip to the icecream shop for the whole family. Cathy

  • Sue says:

An amazing holiday to Hawaii to celebrate my daughter getting well had been booked….. then she took sick again :(. We hadn’t as yet bought insurance so the cost to change dates was everything we had saved for spending money…. so, that’s what I’d use the $1000 for…. enjoying that holiday instead of skimping & missing things :).

  • Annelee says:

I would fly my daughter to a show in Melbourne, stay in 5* accommodation, take to a fancy restaurant, do shoe shopping and really spoil her before she starts high school next year.

My daughter has been chosen to be in the National Institute Dance Theatre but we just can’t afford it (single income, 6 children). So if I won $1000 I’d use it to pay the dance tuition fees to help my daughter live her dream.

  • I would use the money to put towards a 7 seater car we really need to buy since our 4th baby arrived. We currently are saving and want to buy the safest car possible to protect our kids on the roads. Some days it feels like we are never going to save enough money though.

I would put it towards Christmas presents and a holiday for our family. My husband has been studying all year and hasn’t had a break. We’re living off of savings and it would be such a treat for him to spend some quality time with our boys.

  • It would definitely be a holiday for us. We haven’t had so much as a weekend away since my son was born nearly 18 months ago! Quality time all round is required asap!

At the same time, you also have to rein yourself in and stay mainly focused on business related topics. This also depends on your own personality, your niche and the audience you are targeting. If you would think twice before saying something in a phone call or email to a customer, you should leave it out of your blog.
