What would be your ideal way to spend a Saturday afternoon? Fashion Parté came up with a fabulous idea for a Mothers Day High Tea charity event in partnership with the Breast Cancer Foundation. A full day of fashion, luxury pampering, shopping and entertainment hosted by me! Fashion Parté is a styling and events company I work with regularly. I posted about them here.
Kinetic String Quartet
The High Tea party was held at Restaurant Atelier, a picture-perfect sandstone cottage in Glebe. Guests arrived to the beautiful sounds of the Kinetic String Quartet serenading them from the forecourt. It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone was in high spirits (it could have been the Tempus Two champers ;). Such a lovely crowd of women who made an effort to dress up for the event making it even more special. That and the fact that they all seemed to enjoy my jokes which is always a bonus!

High Tea in progress
High tea and champagne followed with a fashion parade featuring Diane Von Furstenberg, Lisa Ho, Mingk jewellery and Jane Stoddart hats. There was also a breathtaking performance by singer Fiona Treloar. Guests were then treated to spa treatments and make up sessions from Motives Cosmetics in the pamper zones.

There was even time for a spot of retail therapy! DVF offered 30 % off their gorgeous range on the day and Mingk jewellery showcased their stunning pieces. My Secret Bags made their debut as a luxury handbag specialist! My Secret Bags is a luxury designer handbag boutique that offers personal shopping, selling and renting the latest “IT” bags. You can save a minimum of 15% on Australian retail prices or rent a bag for a fraction of the cost.

If that wasn’t enough, there was a raffle draw at the end of the day with all proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Prizes were provided by DVF, Motives Cosmetics, Olimpia Beauty, Bondi Pizza, Evolution to Well Being, Simone Perele, Samantha Robinson, Rhedes Wedes Photography and Viajuyu (design your own ballet flats). I had so much fun announcing the winners including best dressed of the day!
Another lucky winner!
Bags of goodness!
Everyone took home a packed goody bag filled with gifts from Colette Accessories, Hydra-Oil, Redken Hair, Lucid The Label, Shine, TOM Organics, Soy Melts by Iman, Jo Calendaria Brow Styling, Ruby Slipper Floral Design and TMA Consolidated.
Now that sounds like a perfect afternoon to me! What do you think?
