I decided to take part in Frocktober this year albeit a day late. I am wearing a different dress every day for the month of October to help raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research. I wanted to take part last year when I first heard about it but I was extremely sleep deprived at the time due to bub so I wasn’t in a ‘wearing dresses every day’ frame of mind! My wardrobe is stacked full of frocks, a lot of which I haven’t worn or I have forgotten I had so Frocktober is perfect for me. I’m loving the experience, it’s an opportunity to bond with other women taking part and the fact that it’s for such a great cause makes it even more special. Here’s my round up of Frocktober Week 1. You can shop all my dresses online and get your frock on too!
Frocktober – Week 1 Dress Round Up
Day 2: Vamastyle
I kicked off my Frocktober with this gorgeous dress from Vamastyle and my photo does not do it justice. Because of this I have decided to get more organised around my blog pics and invest in a decent camera and tripod. I had to ask my bemused next door neighbour to take a pic for me when I bumped into him in the park as hub was at work. I didn’t really want to hassle him to keep going until we got a decent pic. Anywho beggars can’t be choosers I guess so it will have to do! On another note, I will be giving away one of these dresses on Instagram this week so keep and eye out if you’re interested!
Day 3: BCBG Max Azria Dress $301
I attended the Sabo Skirt Spring Summer launch and picked this divine little BCBG Max Azria number to wear from Fashionet! It is such a flattering dress and I love the bold stripes and colours. I wore it with a pair of black snakeskin pumps from Casanovas Italian Shoes and my trusty Sterling & Hyde Robin Tote.
Day 4: Zara
Another day another event! This time it was all about Bub Stylista, I attended the Kid Store Summer Launch. I wore a Zara monochrome dress I picked up in the London sales. It is one of my faves and will be getting a lot of wear this summer! Monochrome is going to be huge! I don’t think this dress is available anymore but I found a similar one at John Lewis.
I picked my Nicole Miller dress to wear to a wedding. I found this gorgeous dress when I modelled for Hollie De Keyser at her Double Bay store. The colour is perfect for summer and it’s is such a great fit, I always get comments when I wear it. I teamed it with my Christian Louboutin pumps I found at a Dress for Success sale for $25! I think that is definitely my best score EVER! The bag is from a leather market in Italy. What do you think? Too matchy matchy?
Day 6: Yeojin Bae for Target
For a family funday at the park I wore my Yeojin Bae for Target dress. Don’t you just love when top designers collaborate with High Street brands! Great fashion at affordable prices. I have had this dress for ages and it is such a classic piece. It’s made out of silk and the design is perfection. I love the detailing at the back and it is such a beautiful colour. I teamed it with a pair of Zara leopard flats, another great find in the London sales. Unfortunately this dress is no longer available but I found another gorgeous silk dress by Rodeo Show at The Iconic.
So there we have it! Frocktober Week 1 dress round-up! You can shop all of my dresses online now (or similar versions).
