My Best Dressed at Melbourne Cup 2013

Coco-Rocha

The race that stops the nation stopped the nation for a different reason this week! Fashion. The dress code is colour for this race day. Go bold or go home and these ladies stepped up to the plate. International guests included effortlessly cool Coco Rocha, Dita Von Teese, Geri Halliwell and Kate Upton.

Lindy Klim and Nicole Warne upped the fashion stakes in glamorous Dolce and Gabanna outfits. While Jennifer Hawkins raised eyebrows in her Nerida Winter headpiece. Rebecca Judd scrubbed up as usual looking gorgeous and glowing. I am in absolute awe of her maternity chic.

Here’s my best dressed at Melbourne Cup 2013, in my humble opinion of course!

  • I loved Dita Von Teese and Nicole Warne. I always find Jennifer Hawkins so boring. Stunning but boring.

That is so true about Jennifer Hawkins Rachel. So beautiful and yet … Dita is always a show stopper but that Lindy Klim number is Pope chic. I love it! Thanks for the wrap Dee! x

  • Sonia says:

I was totally underwhelmed by the Melbourne Cup fashion effort. I thought Derby Day was better!

I think the ones that made my best dressed list was Dita and Coco Rocha. Dita had this understated elegance (as usual) while Coco just looked so…different yet it worked for her. Saw A LOT of mirrored prints at the races yesterday, sort of what Kate Waterhouse has got on, but more with mirrored floral prints. It was EVERYWHERE!

I wasn’t really blown away by anyone this year but I would say Nicole Warne was my favourite xo
