I was lucky enough to meet up with her for an interview and she is as glamorous and elegant as her designs and a wonderful person too!
Nerida is a prominent Race Day regular and afficonado so who better to provide us with Spring Racing fashion tips!
What are the key trends for Spring/Summer 2013
Trends that we are embracing for SS13 are monochrome (perfect for Derby Day), mixed prints and textures with retro and masculine styles being strong looks also. Punk and animal influences give the season some fun. It’s a great season to embrace colour – you’ll see some gorgeous pastels and metallics along with classic summer brights.
Are Fascinators over?
This season is all about the headpiece and the hat – fascinators are history .
What are your Spring Racing essentials?

Who are your favourite race wear designers?
My favourite raceday international designers include Vivienne Westwood, Yohiji Yamamoto, Martin Margiela and Alexander McQueen with Toni Maticevski, Leona Edminston, Sass and Bide and Jayson Brunsdon taking the lead in Australia.
Name the top 5 items in your clutch on Race Day
My race day clutch holds my Clinique sunscreen and lipstick, ATC and Myer marquee tickets, the form guide and betting money.
The Races is an all day affair! What are your tips for staying chic?
My tips for looking your best all day are have a good blowdry, a manicure/pedicure, wearing your shoes in before the day (it’s a long day on your feet) and alternating the Moet with water. Having your headwear made to fit helps too!
