I had an amazing time at Fashion week. It’s all a blur now! I caught up with some of my fave bloggers, interviewed some famous faces, wore some killer outfits and got papped! More on that later..
But most importantly the shows! I’ll be featuring some of my faves on the blog this week.
First up..Jennifer Kate!
She had me at leather! Her collection featured buttery soft leathers in soft pastel hues, structured cuts and easy-wear suede in orange, grey and brown. The sports-luxe look was finished off with classic white Reebok trainers.
Models walked the confetti -covered runway in trans-seasonal pieces that proved timeless leather is appropriate for any climate, any occasion.
I am coveting the pastel trench, leather shift dresses and suede shorts!
Taking in the show in the FROW
The collection was inspired by the elegance of modern art and European hideaways. Designer Jennifer McCloy used intricate sewing techniques to create perfectly tailored pieces.
“The Jennifer Kate woman is a minimalist and knows the value of clean lines, impeccable craftsmanship and of a good investment,” says McCloy. “She’s influenced by quality, ensuring this translates into everything she does, everything she wears and everything she enjoys.”
Jennifer has been based in the United States solidifying relationships with the likes of Shopbop, Revolve, NastyGal and 25 Park.
This was the first return to Australian shores in over a year and in a fashion first, customers of The Iconic were able to purchase eight exclusive pieces directly from the runway for immediate delivery!
With celebrity followers such as Kim Kardashian, Lara Bingle, Kate Hudson, Catt Sadler, Kourtney Kardashian and How Two Live supporting the label, the Jennifer Kate brand is going from strength to strength.
I caught up with the Jennifer backstage – video interview coming soon! In the meantime check out the website here.
