Sponsored post for Spotlight
My son turned 4! I can’t even believe it. It’s so scary how quickly the time is going! Last year my daughter was born so we didn’t make a fuss about his birthday so this year we thought we would go all out.
He’s also at that age when he knows it’s his birthday, he’s decided on a theme (sort of) and he knows which friends he wants to come.

This year’s theme was a hybrid. A cross between Hot Wheels, Spiderman, Monster Trucks, Ligntning McQueen with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle thrown in.
He couldn’t decide so I went with all four! I tried to explain to him that you can only have one theme but I folded. I know, I’m a party rookie! I’ve made a note of it for next time. ONE THEME!
It never occurred to me to go to Spotlight for all his party essentials? They literally have everything. From loot bags to tableware and decorations to pinatas. They’ve got you covered!

They also have licensed themes to help you out. You can find all the accessories in one spot at their online shop. With themes ranging from Star Wars, Superman, Disney Cars and Disney Princesses, party planning has never been easier.

You can mix and match these themes with your favourite colours; their selection of party decorating supplies comes in a wide range of colours and styles.
Last but not least, many Spotlight stores also offer balloon inflation services and helium tank hire catering to any balloon inflation requirements; see I told you they’ve thought of everything!
Spoils of war
I went to their store in Birkenhead Point and I was completely overwhelmed. There was so much to choose from! I may have also got distracted by their bath section but that’s another story.
I found a Spiderman pinata and lolly fillings, birthday banners, Hot Wheels loot bags and table ware, party favours, balloons, party hats, princess crowns, birthday candles, sparklers, party poppers and a teenage mutant ninja turtle suit (his current obsession after monster trucks) and tableware.
I was so happy that I didn’t have to go running from store to store, I was stressed enough as it was. It’s so much easier and quicker to get everything under one roof.
We had the party in our garden and I decorated it with balloons and banners. I found lettered balloons at Spotlight to spell out my children’s names which I thought was a nice touch.
Spotlight made the whole process painless and even fun. Oh to be a kid in this day an age! I got one main present and a couple of friends over for my birthday. Not the extravaganzas they have now.
I must say though I shopped up a storm and loved every minute of it!
