Scenes from London Fashion Week: Edeline Lee AW17

I attended the Edeline Lee AW17 show at London Fashion Week on a cold, crisp Saturday morning.

The setting was urban and so very London, at the Oxo Tower Barge House. A wonderful excuse to take in the breathtaking architecture and views of the surrounding South Bank.

There were long queues for this presentation which added to the excitement and anticipation of what was inside.

A feast for the ears and eyes, guests were treated to a performance by pianist Belle Chen as well as electronic background music and political narration mixed by Jaeva.

Visuals included social media commentary shown on mini-TV’s and photo montages. There was a lot going on but it all fit together perfectly.

The Edeline Lee AW17 collection was called ‘Future Lady‘ and she is all about comfort and confidence.

It featured oversized silhouettes ( a theme at LFW AW17), asymmetrical hemlines, flares, ruffles and relaxed tailoring.

Layering and colour blocking were also prominent throughout and there was an element of playfulness with tops featuring strategically placed buttons in the nipple area.

A strong, powerful multi-sensory presentation of the modern woman.

FYI stocking socks and trumpet sleeves are a thing!
